The Awful Date
"Why? Why me? Sometimes I really hate dating! For once, why can't I meet a normal guy that just wants to have fun and not be a damn weirdo about shit?" Ashlee vented to her girlfriend over the phone.
Kara listened wholeheartedly. She knew exactly what her friend meant. "It's a numbers game, babe! We got to go through the bad ones to get to the good ones!"
"I know. It wouldn't have been so bad, if he would have at least told me be was 23, not 32. His profile was wrong. He waited till the end of the night to tell me. That's a total game changer. It was obvious he just wanted to get laid. Sometimes a girl wants a real damn date!" Ashlee unloaded.
She was exsapirated with the whole dating process.
Kara laughed. "I'll presume he was not fuckable."
"Hell No! This is how I gauge these boys:
20somethings you got to be way hot and sexy for me to consider being with you.
30somethings you need to be cool and nice. Most definitely dateable.
40something, well if that even happens these days, you gotta look younger, have all your hair and not be boring. I'll consider 40s if they impress me.
50somethings are out! They are just way too, 'I'm the guy' and stuck in their ways. It's a Hard 'No!' on all 50+ dudes."
Ashlee paused. She smiled at her summation of men. They were a commodity for her.
Disposable. But, she still wanted one worthy one to keep her attention.
Kara had to agree. Considering they were both in their 40s, she knew Ashlee had valid points. These guys were too use to getting what they wanted, when they wanted. Something needed to change. Our rules, on our terms.
Ashlee continued to share date details. "He was way overconfident and just assumed he'd get me. Seriously, he had these weird eyes and his body was eh. He was definitely heavier compared to his photos. I gave him a pity kiss towards the end of the date, however he practically attacked me. As if, once he kissed me, I wouldn't be able to resist him. I was thinking, 'Whoa dude, I'm not even into you.'
These boys can be ridiculous. If he was cooler and hotter, maybe he'd get a second date, but this guy was done sooner than he thought."
Kara listened intently. She didn't know how Ashlee did it. She always went in with an open mind and than realized most of these guys were clueless. "Back to the dating cesspool I suppose."
Ashlee sighed, "Yup! Back at it! Eventually, I'll find a worthy one and have him stick around for a bit. In the meantime, it's all about the story."
Moral of the story:
Don't be a 'DATING DICK'. You'll end up being written about.
